Psychological Wellness
Psychological wellness is caring for the emotional side of you. Talking to family and friends can be super helpful, but getting a professional check up can provide you with insights you need about your current mental health status. Knowing where you are mentally can help provide clarity where you need it most.
Psychological Wellness encompasses…
Mental health encompasses all of our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Our mental health can affect every aspect of our lives and every aspect of our lives can affect our mental health. That includes how we experience our feelings, how they’re activated, how we react to them, how they affect our interactions with others, how we cope with them and how well we recognize what we’re feeling at any given time.
If your back is bothering you, you’re likely to see a doctor about it. If your feelings are draining or hurting you, who do you go to? It’s important to see someone who specializes in mental health when talking with a friend just isn’t enough.
When you don’t take care of your psychological wellness…
When you don't take care of your mental health, you will notice. It will affect how you see things, how you eat, how you sleep, how you are doing school, your finances, your sexual health, and your physical health.
For example, you may shop when you're feeling depressed, maybe you pull at your hair or bite your nails when you're feeling anxious, you may get so angry that you lash out at the people you love, or complete strangers. Poor psychological health can keep you from studying and being able to concentrate or focus or take so much energy from you that you don't have the energy to just do the basic things you need just like taking a shower.
Only you know when your emotions are so full that talking with a friend just isn’t enough.
You can do this. PsycleOn can help.
