Hello, hello!  I am Deitra Bryant-Mallory, Doctor of Clinical Psychology and licensed psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience working with the complexities of PEOPLE.  When you’ve been doing this work for a while you meet lots of great people, interesting people, and often people who despite their best efforts are struggling to live the life they have envisioned for themselves.  People that are doing their best to live life on their terms, trying to do the right things, trying to figure out what they can do to be better, feel better.  Psycle On is the result of seeing too many of my clients do their therapeutic work toward psychological growth, but still feel hopeless to improve other areas of their lives.  Empowering them towards greater self-efficacy in all areas of their lives is limited from the confines of traditional psychotherapy.  Psycle On addresses this need by augmenting psychotherapy with other wellness offerings, integrating how one feels emotionally with how they feel about their relationships, sense of purpose, their money, etc.  Each of these areas of wellness contribute to a healthy lifestyle.

Psycle On was created because I believe that there is a better way to serve people.  I don’t believe that any one modality is the answer.  If so, therapy alone would be enough.  Exercise or meditation alone would be enough.  My mission is to promote integration of all aspects of wellness.

DiClemente’s Transtheoretical Model is a theory that says there are stages of change and that in order for clients to experience growth and progress the intervention they receive must align with their stage, or readiness to change.  Psycle On is for people who have tried putting all of the pieces together on their own without success or people that want to invest more time and strategy into their lifestyle habits.  I enjoy working with people who are contemplating what their lives could be like if they made some changes.  I have been known to challenge people by saying, “let’s give this 120 days and see how you’re feeling”. Change is possible. Better is possible.
